Since 2004, I have been exploring Manual Photo Manipulation on developed negatives and prints. It all began when I was working at Eckerd and had unlimited access to the photo equipment. The first experiment began with bleaching developed negatives then processing the prints. This progressed into manipulating the prints themselves utilizing bleach, the reduction process.
I had only been brave enough to test on 4"x6" prints due to the low cost. Once deciding there was more to be explored, I moved to 8"x10" prints. The new larger size allowed a suitable canvas for going beyond just the bleachings I had done and progress into the additive process. The culmination of both the reduction and additive process have brought you what you see today.
